Entries open for the 2014 PUMA Stockport 10 with prizes for new age categories

The annual PUMA Stockport 10 road race takes place this year on 7 December and will incorporate the North of England 10 mile championships.

The Stockport 10 mile road race, renowned for its interesting goody bag, fun atmosphere and friendly marshalls has now announced a new initiative to encourage younger runners to get their racing shoes on and line up at the start.  

As well as the ususal prizes for top ten men and women and first prizes for the vets, the Stockport 10 will award prizes for first men and women in the 25 - 30 age group and the 30 - 35 age group! After looking at the statistics last year and noticing that the field was dominated by older runners, the organisers in partnership with PUMA want to encourage younger runners to take part in 2014.
