Entries open for Admiral Swansea Bay 10k until 31 August


Admiral Swansea Bay 10K now full!

Now in its 33rd year, the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k is the next race in the 2013 runbritain Grand Prix and kick starts the autumn term on 22 September but entries close on 31 August so book your place soon!

Organised by the City and County of Swansea and supported by Admiral, The Wave and Swansea Sound, this event is one of the top road races in the UK for runners at all levels. As always it will be a great day out for everyone as the 10k and junior races attract thousands of entrants and spectators to Swansea Bay.

The event takes its title from long time sponsor, the Admiral Group, who will be entering a team and The Wave and Swansea Sound will also be at the event to cheer on their staff and fellow race goers.

All race finishers receive a T shirt, medal and goody bag and the event also features a 100m Mascot race, a separate 10k wheelchair race, stalls and entertainment.

This year there will be a brand new 5k race open to those aged 15 years+. There is a Corporate Challenge within the 5k and two fantastic junior races.  Entries are open for all races including the main race until 31 August 2013 so hurry to secure your place.

Points are awarded for the first 250 finishing positions at all six of the Grand Prix events.  250 points will be awarded for the first British finisher, down to 1 point for the 250th British finisher. Can you get on the scoreboard at the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k? Last year's 250th male finisher was Phillip Cushion who completed the course in 42:27. 250th female finisher was Katrina Harper with a time of 52:52.
