Emily Kearney wins impressive endurance double in USA

While many eyes were on the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow, there was plenty of action from the rest of our running community both here and abroad. Some of the highlights included a double championship win for Emily Kearney at the National Collegiate Indoor Championships (NAIA division) in South Dakota and Jess Piasecki (pictured) was impressive winning the Long Eaton parkrun. 

Emily Kearney (handicap 0.7) was the overall women's winner of both the 5000m and 3000m in the NAIA division National Collegiate Indoor Championships. Emily set a personal best winning the 3000m in 9:30.42 and has a best of 16:27.89 for 5000m.

parkrun performances were topped by Jess Piasecki (handicap -1.3) and Callan Moody  (handicap -4.1) in 15:51 and 14:33 at Long Eaton and Dulwich parkruns respectively.

Charlotte Arter (handicap -2.2) was again in sub 16 form with 15:56 at the Cardiff parkrun.
