Dewi Griffiths makes a winning return on the streets of London

After a winter of injury frustration, Dewi Griffiths made a title winning return at the British 10k in London. 

Dewi Griffiths (handicap -5.2) was forced out of the European cross country championships in December 2017 with a troublesome hip injury. He battled to overcome the problem as the Commonwealth Games approached on the Gold Coast of Australia in April, but failed to make the start line with a flare up of a hip issue. 

Swansea Welshman Dewi Griffiths (handicap -5.2) returned to action for the first time since February to win the British 10km road race title on the streets of London, breaking the tape in 29.41. Runner-up Matt Sharp  (handicap -4.7) was nine seconds adrift with  Ian Kimpton (handicap 4.4) taking bronze.

Swansea's  Josh Griffiths (handicap -4.8) was fourth in 30:26.

In the women’s race Rachel Felton (handicap 0.3) took the British title with in 34.56, one minute ahead of Oxford University runner, Kimberley Horner (handicap 2.6) and Grace Lynch completed the podium.
