Grand Prix points will be awarded at each race for the leading 250 British finishers in each of the male and female categories (runners must be eligible to compete for Great Britain & Northern Ireland at the date of the race).

250 points will be awarded for the first British finisher, down to one point for the 250th British finisher, and a runner’s best four individual points scores from the five races will count towards their overall runbritain Grand Prix total.

Time bonus points will be awarded at each of the five races and more information on time bonuses can be found on the Grand Prix specific page on the runbritain website.

Last year's winners were Phil Wicks and Gemma Steel who have since gone on to record a number of impressive performances domestically and overseas.

The opening 2012 runbritain Grand Prix event in Reading, which has an impressive finish on front of large crowds inside Reading Football Club’s Madejski Stadium and is one of the UK’s fastest half marathons, will be previewed on the runbritain website soon and is expected to include a really strong elite field.

The 18,000 race places were snapped up by beginning of January, proving the continuous popularity of the race.

Footage from the Mizuno Reading Half Marathon will be available on runbritain TV as soon as possible in the days following the race, while a report of the race will be posted on the runbritain website along with regular updates on the runbritain Grand Prix.
