There are lots of results that have clocks to be clicked! Some of the bigger races were:
Great Grimsby 10K - 1,266 finishers
Bushy parkrun - 963 finishers
Wedding Day 7K - 575 finishers
Cookstown Half Marathon - 550 finishers
Tenby 10K - 495 finishers *awaiting confirmation
Donkey Brae 7 - 369 finishers
All runners currently on the leaderboard who have improved their handicap score in the race they have done during the last week will be entered into the prize draw for the Polar FT4 Heart Rate monitor along with anyone else who clicks their clock and sees a % improvement from the race they ran.
The current leader on the board is Andrew Knowles (handicap 7.8 ) who improved his score by a massive 5.583% when he broke 20 minutes, for the first time, at the Elgin parkrun on Saturday. Andrew made his debut in the runbritain rankings back in 2011, when he ran the Bupa Great Manchester Run 10k, and then disappeared off the scene until this year when he started using the Elgin parkrun for his comeback. He has been regular at the Elgin parkrun for the last six weeks and his endeavour is paying off.
Lisa Walker (handicap 25.1) is currently second on the leaderboard with an improvement of 2.027%. Lisa's story is similar to Andrew's. Lisa also first appeared on the rankings in 2011, after the Bupa Great Manchester Run 10k. She did a couple of parkruns in 2012 along with another run at the Great Manchester Run and then disappeared until this year when she's done parkruns in Bramhall and Lyme Park and the We Love Manchester 10k. On Saturday, she ran the Lyme Park parkrun, that had an SSS of 5.0 (that shows how tough that course is) in a time of 33:59.
Mark Katory (handicap 7.5) (pictured) is a regular at the Newcastle parkrun and has also been more regular on the racing scene in 2016. On Saturday, he broke 19 minutes and knocked 1.981% off his score for his time of 18:57.
Vikki Hearn (handicap 16.3 ) was one of the 1,266 finishers at the Great Grimsby 10k on Sunday. Vikki's time of 49:10 took 1.079% off her score.
Did you improve your % score this weekend? If so, be sure to #clickyourclock before 12 o' clock tomorrow when the competition finishes for this week!
