From those results that are in, the biggest races, last week, were:

Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon - 15,985 finishers

Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Half Marathon - 9,200 finishers

Bank of Scotland Great Scottish 10K - 8,388 finishers

MBNA Chester Marathon - 2,287 finishers

Standalone 10K - 1,276 finishers

Great Cumbrian Run Half - 1,253 finishers

The Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon had more than 16,000 starters in four waves and was shown live on BBC Wales. It was the fifth race in the runbritain Grand Prix and the first British finisher was Ryan McLeod (handicap -5.3), in 64:18, followed by Dewi Griffiths in 64:28 and Paul Martelletti (handicap -4.7) in 64:55. All three took 0.1 off their handicap scores, as did Jess Coulson (handicap -1.7) who was the first female finisher with a time of 71:36 whilst Jenny Spink (handicap -0.5), who was second British finisher, took 0.2 from her score by knocking more than a minute from her personal best time when she stopped the clock at 73:01.

Meanwhile, at the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Half Marathon, Callum Hawkins (handicap -5.9) knocked a huge 0.5 from his handicap score for being the first British finisher and running a tremendous personal best time time of 62:42. Gemma Steel (handicap -2.4) knocked 0.3 from her score for first British female with the super-fast time of 69:56 after a close run with Jo Pavey (handicap -1.3) who ran 69:58 and knocked 0.1 from her score.

Andrew Dalton (handicap 5.5) is currently leading this week's #clickyourclock competition after running the MBNA Chester Marathon in 3:03:52 and taking a whopping 1.8 from his score, which is a 10.13% improvement. Andrew has been making good progress and has been racing more regularly since June this year after a very quiet previous 12 months.
