Brighton Half Marathon Corporate Charity Challenge 2013

The Brighton Half Marathon Corporate Charity Challenge - a new initiative for 2012 based around business and companies - will take place once again at the 2013 event.
The inaugural Corporate Charity Challenge wanted to encourage businesses to raise money for local charities, with the Corporate Charity Challenge Trophy presented to the business that collectively raised the most funds for their chosen charity.
The winner of the Corporate Charity Challenge Trophy in 2012 was Kimberley-Clark Europe, with Sara Celik, Silvia Coli, Ana Domingo and James Grainger (pictured) raising a total of £1,045 for their nominated charity Albion in the Community.
The Corporate Charity Challenge is back for 2013 and entries are now open, with registration limited to a total of 60 teams. A team consists of 3-5 runners from the same company, and a minimum of three runners from the team need to finish the race in order to qualify for the prizes.
In addition to the Corporate Charity Challenge Best Fundraisers Trophy, the fastest teams will also be recognised in 2013 based on the accumulative time of the first three runners of each team, and each runner will be signing up to run the full 13.1 miles.
The key aims are to build teamwork spirit in the work place, increase the profile of businesses taking part and promote fitness whilst raising money for charity.
Registration is now open at www.brightonhalfmarathon.com/enter-now and entry fees are £27 (affiliated) or £29 (unaffiliated) per person. Upon registration the team captain will be able to choose from a list of selected local charities including The Sussex Beacon, Rise, and 70 other local charities.
