Brighton Half Marathon 2013 selling out in record time

This is a last call for anyone who has not registered yet for the iconic Brighton Half Marathon, which takes place on Sunday 17 February 2013, to enter now before it's too late!
Entries for the race, which is very much loved within the community of Brighton & Hove and recognised globally, have been selling faster than ever as nobody wants to miss out on securing their place in this popular seafront race on the South Coast which is now in its 23rd year.
After introducing a new flatter, faster route and new branding for the 2011 Brighton Half Marathon, the race sold out for the first time in 21 years by December 2010 at the new capacity of 8,000 places.
The 2012 race saw an increase to 10,500 places with a sell out achieved by November 2011. Capacity for the 2013 race has been kept at 10,500 places and current indications point to a sell out by October this year.
Last Sunday saw a record number of registrations after the Great North Run with over 450 places sold in one day. Inspired by the Olympic and Paralympic Games this year and a record year for sport in general, the Brighton Half Marathon organisers have also seen an increased interest in people wanting to get involved and volunteer in order to contribute to the successful running of the event.
Details on how to apply for one of the many volunteer roles can be found in the 'volunteers' section of the website.
Partners confirmed so far for 2013 include Brooks, Sweatshop, Garmin, Lucozade, The Seattle Hotel, Visit Brighton, Brighton & Hove City Council, Studio57 Clinic and Virgin Money Giving.
