Bosworth Half Marathon: 500th race of the year to use runbritain online entry

We are delighted to announce that the Bosworth Half Marathon has signed up to use the runbritain online entry system, that is FREE for the runner. It is the 500th race, this year, to do so.
In 2014 to date, 83,519 runners have saved a cumulative £122,539 on race entry charges using runbritain's online entry system, benefitting from entering their races at NO EXTRA COST. All they have paid is the entry fee. This number has already surpassed the 66,403 who used it in 2013. In addition, 500 races using the system has surpassed the 359 races that used it in 2013. The only charge incurred is the card charge which averages 60p per entry that goes directly to the card companies. Card charges are deducted at source and the balance of the entry fee is then transferred to the race.
Last week, the Bosworth Half Marathon became the 500th race to use the system and is looking forward to receiving entries for the race, that will be held on 10 May. The Bosworth Half is now in its 15th year and is well established on the calender. This is the third year that it has used the runbritain onnline entry service.
We caught up wiht Race Director, Linda Whitelgg, who told us, "The route is rural, scenic and undulating around historic Market Bosworth. Richard III was killed at the 1485 Battle of Bosworth, with his remains only recently being found in a car park in Leicester!

We aim to give our runners a friendly, value for money event. (£18/£20 early bird offer up to 31st December, then £20/£22 from 1st January). There is a £100 prize for 1st placed man and lady as well as many age category prizes. All finishers receive a quality event T-Shirt/High 5 products and Fyffes banana.
"Sponsored by Granite Transformations with other partners - High 5, Swithland Water, Fyffes Bananas and Derby Runner. We are well supported by Hinckley Air Cadets, Bosworth Scouts and local running Club - Badgers, providing excellent, experienced marshals.
