BMC time trial sees a 2:24 lead clocking for 1km

Tom Marshall takes an early lead on the first day of the BMC virtual 1000m competition.
Tom Marshall ran an inspired 2:24.0 after a busy opening first day of the BMC virtual 1km.
Following on from the first BMC time trial. the Bannister Mile, this is the second event of the series. Next fastest after Tom Marshall (handicap -3.9) were young under-17 athletes, Osian Perrin (handicap -3.2) who came into the reckoning with a stunning 2:25.00 to tie with Adam Wright (handicap -4.2).
Aly Dixon (handicap -0.5) tested herself over some ‘shorter stuff’ and with the aid of a calculated strong tailwind returned an impressive 2:51.00 which was the quickest female time of the day.
