Beat the sunset at the Ipswich Building Society Twilight Road Races

Ipswich JAFFA Running Club, in association with Ipswich Building Society, Ipswich Borough Council and Suffolk New College, have launched a fantastic NEW event for 2015: The Ipswich Building Society Twilight Road Races.

On a flat, traffic-free town centre course, there will be two races - A 5k race for those that can run within 20 minutes (men) or 22 minutes (ladies) with cash prizes to be won and a 10k mass participation run with the aim of beating the sunset!

The 10k will start at 7.30pm. It will  take a route through the streets of Ipswich Town Centre and pass through Ipswich Town's Portman Road Stadium. The sun will set at 8.22pm and runners will be cheered on to finish the course before the sun goes down.

Before the 10km takes place, the 5km will showcase an international field. Elite entries have already been received and the race is sure to get the evening off to a flying start and bring inspiration to runners warming up to beat the sunset.

The events will take place on FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST 2015
