300th Event Adjudicator appointed

As part of the runbritain road race licensing process, since April last year, Event Adjudicators have been attending races to check safety standards. This month, the 300th Event Adjudicator nationally was appointed.
runbritain Road race Co-ordinator Gavin Lightwood said “We are delighted to have recruited our first 300 Event Adjudicators and thanks to all of them for getting involved in this way to improve the sport. They actually cover 312 roles becomes some operate across two regions. We are on schedule to license a record number of races in England and Wales this year, possibly as many as 2,200 plus all parkruns, so it would still be good to recruit 30-40 more volunteers from within the ranks of licensed race organisers, BARR officials or experienced officials. The areas where we still have a few gaps to fill are London, South West and North West England. Six to eight races each per year seems to be the right balance, based on feedback from current Event Adjudicators. Travel expenses are covered". Contact [email protected]
