2018 was a sunny Scott Snowdonia Trail day from 10k to 37 miles!

It was a beautiful day in the Welsh mountains as a sold-out field set off from Llanberis and ran into the Snowdonia mountainside.
Only at the top of Snowdon did the runners run into a few clouds and some foggy conditions but nothing to make them cold.
This year saw the debut of a 37 mile ultra run up the mountain and through the nearby countryside with a total 7257 feet of elevation. Rob Corney won the initial race in 5.56:05 after having run with second-place finisher Lyndon Cooper most of the way.
In the women´s ultra, Andrea Rowlands (handicap 4.5) placed fifth overall in a time of 6.47:26 hours.
Adam Holland (handicap -3.1) had an early lead in the marathon, but was eventually overtaken by Jack Oates (handicap 5.1) who went on to win in 3.37:53, and Jacek Cieluszecki (handicap -2.9) in second place.
Fern Cotterill had a commanding lead of over 20 minutes to second place with her 4.31:52.
The top of Snowdon was also the aim for the half marathon before they headed down towards Llanberis and the nearby mountain full of slate. Here Ben Livesey (handicap -3.2) ran 1.49:24, while Rhian Probert ran to a first place in 2.16:36.
The shortest race of the day, the 10 km, still had 1355 feet of elevation, and here Hanna Jones smashed the previous record by seven minutes with a time of 50:55, which earned her a fifth place overall. The men's race was won by John Kourpas in 48:58 minutes.
