2015 runbritain Grand Prix set to continue drive in standards

The top 250 British men’s and women’s 10k and half marathon times for last year were driven by the six races of the runbritain Grand Prix and the 2015 races have been set with the aim of continuing to drive standards in British road running.
In the men’s 10k rankings, the Age UK Leeds Abbey Dash was the quickest race, producing 53 performances in the men’s top 250, followed by the Bupa London 10,000 and Trafford 10k tied on 18 performances.
In the women’s 10k standings, Leeds provided 33, followed by Bupa London 10,000 with 16 and Bristol 10k and Trafford third with 10 times each.
The top two half marathons on the men’s side were Reading (38) and Lloyds Bank Cardiff (25) ahead of the Bupa Great North Run (17). For women, it was Reading (26), Cardiff (16) and then the Bristol Half with 13 times.
The 2015 Cardiff Half Marathon will be the British Championship and IAAF World Half Marathon trials.
The 2014 runbritain Grand Prix individual winners, earning £5000 each, were Scott Overall (handicap -5.2) and Emma Stepto (handicap -0.8) .
End-of-series prize money for 2015 goes down to the 12th ranked British athlete.
The 30th running of the Cardiff 10k in September, organised by Graham Finlayson in every one of those years, will be round four of the Grand Prix for the first time.
